This tea is designed to provide extra nutrition for mama and baby while also preparing the body for labor and delivery and helping to ease common and mild pregnancy complaints such as cramps, nausea, fatigue, and brain fog.
Red Raspberry Leaf has an affinity for the uterus and it is astringent, which means that it can strengthen and tone the uterus to help prepare your body for birth. Many midwives and birth professionals recommend drinking 1-3 cups of red raspberry leaf tea a day during the third trimester of pregnancy. It is also a nutritive herb that contains Vitamin C, Vitamin E, calcium, magnesium, iron and zinc.
Nettle is very rich in many nutrients and minerals, including iron, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, Vitamin K, A, C, & D, and folic acid. Nettle contains more chlorophyll than almost any other herb, which makes it great assisting mamas who struggle with anemia. It helps to ease inflammation, strengthen blood vessels, improve milk production, ease cramps and spasms, and lessen fatigue.
Oatstraw is an excellent source of Magnesium and Calcium. In fact, it is one of the highest available natural sources of magnesium! Magnesium is beneficial for quality sleep, supporting adrenal function, healthy nervous system function, & optimal bones and ligaments! It works great for calming the mind, soothing sore muscles, reducing cramps and spasms, and easing overall tension. It is moistening in the body and supports digestion. It also contains other nutrients and minerals such as fiber, B vitamins, Vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Plus, it is a good source of protein!
Peppermint is great for uplifting the heart, reducing fatigue, supporting healthy inflammation response, relieving tension and tightness in muscles and joints, supporting healthy brain function, easing nausea, and adding a nice cooling flavor!
Lemon Verbena is a calming herb that can help ease tension in times of stress and worry. The calming properties also make it great for supporting digestion by easing gas and bloating. It is high in antioxidants and may ease inflammation as well. Plus, it adds a delightful and nutritious lemon flavor!
Using 1 TBSP per cup of tea, this blend makes 15 cups. Allow it to steep for at least 10 minutes, to extract all those good vitamins, minerals, and nutrients. For a stronger tea, use 2 TBSP per cup.
